Gone Fishing @ Kurnell

It was a perfect sunny day at Kurnell for the Gone Fishing event on the 25th Feb 2023. We had over 200 join us from all over south and south-west Sydney. We happily welcomed communities from all backgrounds and have 200 nationalities represented. Our language interpreters helped us to deliver the information in language to encourage and help people understand the concepts more thoroughly. Our partner organisations, Maritime NSW and DPI along with our expert rock fisherman helped make this event very valuable and special with each expert sharing their knowledge and skills in their professional area of rock fishing and water safety. The demonstration conducted by local lifeguards and lifesavers was one of the highlights of the event and we hope everyone had a great time and can now go out and enjoy rock fishing safely with their new lifejackets!
