SPORTING SCHOOLS
The Sporting Schools program is for all primary school students K-6 keen to learn water and beach skills through Surf Life Saving. The program brings schools and sports together to help Aussie children get active.
What is Sporting Schools?
Sporting Schools is a $320 million Australian Government initiative designed to help schools increase children's participation in sport and connect them with community sport opportunities.
Sporting Schools programs are provided free to children and their families to help students build the confidence and capability to be active for life.
What will your students learn?
READY. SET. RESCUE. is designed to introduce children to basic water and beach skills involved in Surf Life Saving surf sports in an active, fun and engaging way. The program will cover safety and skills assessment; land based surf sport skills like beach flags and relays; water-based surf sport skills such as wading, dolphin diving and board paddling; and additional components on lifesaving techniques and surf awareness.
