Beach to Bush: the 30 year anniversary!
Beach to Bush since 1994
Beach to Bush is a very popular Surf Lifesaving NSW primary school aged surf education program. The program offers students in regional areas of NSW an introduction to surf lifesaving, focusing on beach and surf safety along with being safe around dams and inland waterways. It is one of the longest running educational program for SLSNSW and has reached a milestone of 30 years since its inception in 1994.
Over the past 30 years our surf lifesavers have “gone bush” each year prior to the summer season to provide beach safety education to nearly 270,000 students. Many of our lifesavers have participated year after year as they absolutely love meeting and educating rural students! The B2B program is constantly evolving to deliver high quality sessions for each new generation. The Beach to Bush program continued its delivery to students even throughout the 2020 pandemic.
