Gone Fishing @ Hill 60

Participants spent the day at Port Kembla learning about lifejackets, rock fishing safety gear, understanding the conditions and rock fishing skills. We were joined by Maritime NSW, Department of Primary Industries and expert rock fishers Hadi from Team Kingies and Spyros Vasiliades, all of whom gave their expert knowledge and experience to our communities. Local lifesavers and lifeguards from Wollongong Council and Surf Life Saving with support from the local Marine Area Command joined the day providing participants with a practical demonstration of lifejackets and rescues in the water at Hill 60. It was a great day all round and a wonderful way to connect and discuss rock fishing safety with so many different people.
