Thursday the 4th of February, 2022 . . . Shark Bay, Northern NSW
Have you ever had a walk on the beach and come across something you were not sure what it was?
These debris are from the natural environment such as twigs and branches that are washed up onto the beach by the tides, wind and waves.
Eventually they will break down.

I took this photo at the beach and it remined me of a sea creature. It's actually some sticks caught up from the tides... but it does look like a sea creature sort of...!

My point is that you need to be very careful picking up or touching anything that you come across on the beach.

Why? Because these debris are an essential part of the coastal ecosystem with marine organisms and crustaceans inside. What if there is are little creatures hiding, they definitely would not like to be disturbed!
