Gone Fishing @ Avoca
What a beautiful sunny day to spend time at the beach! Participants spent the day at Avoca learning about rock fishing safety gear, lifejackets, understanding the conditions and rock fishing skills. Water safety experts from Maritime NSW, Department of Primary Industries and expert rock fishers Hadi from Team Kingies and Spyros Vasiliades, shared their expert knowledge and experience with our communities. Local lifesavers and lifeguards from Central Coast Council and Surf Life Saving with support from the local Marine Area Command joined the day providing participants with a practical demonstration of lifejackets and rescues in the water at Avoca. It was a great day to enjoy the sunshine and the company of others from all across the community.
